PARADE ASSEMBLY and LINE OF
MARCH
|
||
|
Assembly is at 9:00 a.m. at the intersection
of Carroll and Ethan Allen Avenues. The parade will start
at 10:00 a.m. from the intersection of Carroll and Ethan
Allen Avenues and travel South on Carroll Avenue to Maple
Avenue, then turn right on Maple Avenue to Lincoln Avenue
where the parade will disband. All parade units will be
judged along the line of march.

|
Mike Tidwell is a long-time Takoma Park resident
and clean energy activist. He is founder and director
of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, a nonprofit
dedicated to raising awareness about how global
warming affects Maryland, Virginia, and the District of
Columbia and about viable solutions. Mike has written
six books including The Ravaging Tide: Strange
Weather, Future Katrinas, and the Race to Save
America’s Coastal Cities. Mike lives on Willow Avenue
with his wife, Beth, and their 14-year-old son, Sasha.
Their house is powered by solar panels, wind energy,
and corn kernels.
